I just the car so I don't have experience driving during the summer. I have cloth seats though so maybe it won't be an issue.

Is your interior black?? If so, that's going to absorb a lot of heat, and when you sit in it, your body ends up soaking it in. I had this issue with my M3 with black leather interior. I'd prefer cloth or Cinnamon (or, even Grey).

I bought one of these for when driving on the track.

The key is to keep your core body temps down so you don't get fatigued and you can concentrate on driving! Esp on the track cuz it's usually summertime and no AC on, and your adrenaline is pumping. It really works.... I was driving on the track in 95 deg weather and kept icey cold!

I have the smaller portable bag system. See below:

Just fill the bag with ice and water, and then hook it to a 12V power source. I put a cig lighter adapter on mine and plugged it in there. The tubes deliver the cold water to the shirt, which contains medical grade tubing. The cold water absorbs the heat from your body and that fluid goes back to the bag. Fresh cool water is continually circulating through the shirt.

For racing, you'd want one with the large cooler... But, for trackdays you are only out on the track for 20-25 mins at a time. You do have to replentish with fresh ice/water once or twice during the day, but this takes up very little room when packing the car and the bag fits conveniently in the floor behind the driver's seat when in use.

Visit Cool Shirt for more info.

I always wondered why they couldn't just build something like this into the seat itself!

I am in the process of moving and willing to sell my CoolShirt system for a discount (only used once) if anyone is interested. I'm smaller, so I have a Medium (M) blue short-sleeve Cool Shirt. I'd be willing to seperate and just sell the rest of it if you are a different size.

Just because one sweats easily, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are overweight.
