But just thinking about this again, there is an option to enable sport mode when DSC is turned off. So there must be a link between MK60 and the DME ? Which means in theory (someone MUCH cleverer than me), could trace back this routine, and then hack into that routine and enable DSC off with Sport mode, which in turn could be linked to sport button memory. Or am I way off the mark with that thinking ? |

We can trace back that routine (and I already have) but it tells us nothing about how code inside the DSC module works. |

Any updates? Looking to fully disable the DSC on my friend's M3 with the OE CSL tune. If anyone has any insight, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I found the other answer, and this one is 100%, keeps ABS, disables DSC completely. Simply remove the panel underneath your steering wheel (it's pretty straightforward), and.. disconnect the cable to the Steering angle sensor. ABS is maintained, DSC is nuked, no other complications (light always illimunated).
Photo: https://photos.app.goo.gl/k6wgVEPAFgxMsnDW9 The black squared bit around the steering column is the steering angle sensor. TADA! (will work on all E46 m3s). |

I’d just disconnect the yaw sensor near the front seat under the carpet. More of a pain but you want the steering angle sensor if you do alignments and pull data for track use.

Is it possible to turn off both DSC and ABS somehow without disconnecting abs sensors?
