Not bad actually.

Wow, how out of touch am I with the new technologies these days? DSG actually has better mileage than Manuel. The more you know.

It痴 gonna be white silver or oryx white, manuel.

I知 mostly attracted to the bigger turbo, better clutch, no sunroof and higher equipment level (power e brake, digital cluster, leatherya Arizona so the AWD is pretty minimal use, but I head to the mountains once in a while and my old GTI struggled in the snow.

Mostly though, I have a problem with wanting to own the highest spec available of whatever model I get, so I値l 90% end up springing for the R.

Purchase is 12-18 months out anyway so we値l see what the market does. Perfectly happy driving my ZHP For a while.

You're gonna be not that far away from a MK8 R at that point. Tough to justify buying a soon to be outdated R.

Depends on what the landscape looks like and what the Mk8 brings to the table. If I can get 5-6k off an end of production MK7 that may be more attractive than a first year car at a markup.

The honda is ugly and cheap looking inside. I cannot imagine owning one. I could own a GTI, however. Was behind a Golf R a few days ago. Really like the look with the quad exhaust pipes.

Type R is pretty unrelated to the Si.

Agreed, but alas, one of the ways in which it's totally unrelated is that it is absolutely hideous to look at.

Well what about the cheap switchgear what Rakshas was referring to?
