Default EGT Sensor Fuse?

Hey guys, ran my car through an DME diag test on INPA, and pulled code 79 otherwise known as the Abgastemperature sensor, which I believe is the EGT Sensor. I purchased a new EGT sensor, as I'm replacing the headers anyway, but wanted to know where the fuse was to see if I can unplug it and replug it and see if it's was caused the problem. Does anyone know where the EGT fuse it?

This is what it says... the thing is I don't have a Check Engine so i'm skeptical.

Does not appear to have its own fuse. It is connected directly to DME.

So Would you recommend just changing the whole senor then?

Its there with the car off and no load and the logistics counter is at 40, meaning it was present the exact time that you read it.

"Short circuit vbatt o. Value too big, error present, static error"

Martyn's tool will allow you to code it out, or you can do it manually, free. Or jus grab a new sensor ya know. Good luck!

Interesting, I just remembered that Martyns tool allows for adjustment of EGT, would I just put the maximum value? if it's there with the car off... what's causing the error then? If I turn it off are there any downsides?

There's a box you can check to disable it.

Should I just disable cat enrichment as well?

Is there any downsides to this?

The EGT signal goes right to the DME connector and there's also a ground. If you're installing headers...why do you need the EGT sensor?
