never buy a cam from a supplier if they dont tell you the specs. usually it means they themselves dont know

why would you put new cams in if you dont know what the hell they are?

the idea that because they are copies of schricks you cant give out specs makes zero sense.

Yerp, kinda in agreement here. I would never buy a 'performance' cam w/o knowing the cam specs and/or dyno sheets. On another note, I see that they modify TB's for increased flow...I wonder if they would have any interest in producing ITB's at a 'reasonable' cost for the S54??? I may hit them up...

EDIT: Also wanted to add that in their description (of the E36 cams IIRC) that they say their cams don't require a re-tune...that's complete BS! Any cam install will require a specific re-tune to take advantage of the increased breathing/rpm potential that cams generally provide.

For $450, seems like it wouldn't be too crazy to gamble without knowing the specs. I guess I am ok with this because I see too many success stories with riot racing in the s52/m52 world.

I was holding off on replying till I put more miles on... but their S52 throttle body is garbage so far. Idle hang, sticky plate (alu butterfly) and overall just a crummy feel. I know dbw would eliminate the tough pedal but I can't see the ITB setup being without issues.

(For the record the TB I'm using I ordered from RR for a friend. He used it and experienced the same issues. Now I'm seeing the same issues on my car. Other people have had similar complaints.)

Good to know...guess I can hold off on that inquiry.

Their E36 Cams made good power without a retune.

Your car? Do you have before and after dyno's? I believe you, and I'm not saying that just throwing cams in will not result in an increase in powa...but a tune is def required to reach the maximum potential that cams have to offer. Top-end power usually increases (shifting the powerband to the right), but bottom-end power can suffer sometimes...and area under the curve is important to look at too. A (VANOS) tune is generally required to minimize bottom-end losses and retain driveability. Even carbureted cars will require re-jetting/timing changes to maximize power. Case in point is the S54...previous to more powerful tuning tools/knowledgeable tuners, cams had little to offer...based on my initial research years ago before cams became a 'thing'.
