Default Re: StopTech BBK Sale at ECS

I just put a set of ST40 front and rears on my car. They feel great on the street. Zero complaints. On track, I'm having knock back issues but I think it's due to the fact that I have original wheel bearings.

My Stoptech rotors wear out more than twice as fast as my brembo rotors.
I can't find a street pad I like for the stoptech calipers-- brembo's high performance street pads are great!
Stoptech caliper finish looks much worse than my brembo caliper finish despite having half the miles and no track use (10,000+ track miles on the brembos).
Stoptech hardware is a pita to deal with compared to brembos at ring replacement time.

And I don't have the st60s, but the pad knockback on them is just terrifying, imo. I like my brakes to work when I press the brake pedal-- even if I've recently driven through a corner.

Knock back is only apparent for me when driving on my r comp tires. Also, no complaints with the Stoptech street pads. To each their own.

It's only completely awful on the ST60 setup. If the ST40s were like the ST60s, I would have taken them off my car on day 1.

That's also an option. You can also get new rotor hardware that allows for more float. I'm starting with bearings (factory ones have 101k on them) and working my way down the list.

These are track with r comp tire specific only problems though. The Stoptechs work great on the street.

The ST60s have awful back knockback issues on the street with street tires and street pads.
