Default Pentosin MTF2 Discontinued

I had some pentosin mtf2 in my cart at ecs tuning and it was back ordered. I checked again today and it was discontinued. In its place, ecs tuning is recommending pentosin ffl4. I'm pretty sure this is erroneous, because according to pentosin, ffl4 is only for DCT transmissions. I checked on the pentosin website and there was an indication in the 2016 product line up that said mtf2 was going to be discontinued. This is too bad, because BMW only sells mtf-lt-2 in a 5 liter jug rather than 1 liter jugs.

Thanks for the heads up. I guess it's time to make the rounds at the local auto stores and stock up on a few bottles.

The 11 is for the SMG pump, the MTF2 is for the transmission which is the same SMG and manual.

Just scored two bottles from Cartparts .com for $38 bucks. That will give 3 in total for one more fluid change.

This is double annoying in Australia, just bought two litres of MTF-2 for $40 each. Luckily that should last me long enough until we find a proper alternative. It's too bad most of the US suppliers had shipping of two litres of fluid in the realm of $70-$600 AUD. Thanks for the heads up OP.
