I don't think they have to for the airbags, but there seems to be a voluntary recall for Ecu reprogramming as well for emissions related stuff/SMG if you have one of those.

Mine is still at the dealership because apparently it refused the flash all day yesterday

At least they gave me a brand new 328d to drive around. My M3 it's not, but there's something to be said for 45mpg

+1 got mine done on last Tuesday and started noticing the airbag light around the weekend. Mine comes on and off though. I've bumped my steering wheel while stopped at a red light with my palm and the light goes off for a short period of time. Any ideas?

I got mine done. Everything was fine except they drove my car 18 miles. Don't know how that is necessary. I complained...nothing. At least they washed it. I'm never leaving it there all day again.

I do think I might have a rattle in my dash on the passenger side airbag now. Anyone else have that?

Got mine done yesterday at BMW of Fremont and it was a breeze. No damage and the new airbag looks much better than my worn down one with a peeling BMW badge. I waited about 1.5 hours at the dealership.

Lol wtf!? 18miles is a long distance! I'd be pissed as hell; techs probably took turns running the car in the freeway or something. There's no reason for them to drive it a mile let alone 18 miles!

I guess it expires this month!

this is the kit:

I think this is a Penske autogroup thing only. My nearby dealer (not Penske) does not have the deal, but a semi nearby dealer (Penske) does. Google Penske and you can use their website to find your nearest dealer.

Checked-in today, freaked out, phoned the dealer, sure enough, a recall has been issued for my 04'. The last cosmetic cabin issue can be rectified, joy. Thanks M3FORUMS.NET. :^)

Are forum-branded window stickers available?

Thanks, "O",
Cody
