Just found this stuff at a discount store outside Nashville for $7/qt. Going to pick up a few quarts of the stuff which can at the very least serve as my in-between-change quarts if not a full oil change for less than $50

Just checked over the product sheets and aside from difference in marketing-speak, they appear to be the same oil more or less. Professional TWS "is endorsed for use in BMW M- Models" while Edge "has BMW approval for BMW -Models..." There may be a difference in additive packages (if ever so subtle) but to that point many E46 M3 owners have been using AMSOil, Ravenol, etc 10W60 without any real ill effects reported.

Their density and kinematic viscosity are both identical and that's the really important bit.

I think you have to be right. Would love to see a VAO or a UAO anyway though just for fun.

One of my favorite things about even the most recent formula of TWS, is that it has a good amount of Ti and Moly plus the regular good amount of zinc. I would imagine this supercar stuff does too as Ti is one of Castrol's biggest marketing claims, but a OA would confirm!

Hopefully one will pop up in the blackstone thread!

The oil is quite different than what it was back when BMW still made high revving engines. It will work fine for the most part, but it's no longer worth fretting over whether it's M-approved or not.

Amazon has this oil for $10/qt on subscription in 12qt cases. I have this in my car right now, and will be sending a sample to Blackstone in a couple of months. I dont expect it to test any different than the blue bottle 'OE' stuff I was using previously.

I have 4,000 miles on the oil currently. I almost want to change it now to see the analysis but my pocket is convincing me otherwise.

Ordered TWS through ECS and what I got in the mail is this new Supercar branding. I'm assuming it's the same oil just different label with perhaps a slight formula change
