Default What a Pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just finished doing my Vanos with a rebuilt 1 from dr. vanos and also the upper tensioner. The noise at the top of the valve cover that sounded like the chain was hitting went away which is great. Now I still have a slight chain noise but it's no longer coming from the valve cover. Since I have a 95 I did the primary tensioner with the new version and I still hear this chain noise. It happens at low speeds when I go to 3k and let go of the gas it almost sounds like an exhaust leak but I checked the and no leak (rattle snake sound lol). When I press the gas again the noise goes away. Does anyone have this sound? Is it normal ? Any suggestions on what it is?

Do you have a trackpipe installed? Mine does this when I let off the gas say in 3rd gear at 3k+ rpms. Just sounds like alot of air rushing out.

Yeah I got a track pipe. But why does the sound go away when I press the gas?

Thanks guys I guess you solved the mystery sound . I need to get to the track but there are not to many choices in Fairfax lol. Plus I'm scared of damaging my subframe on a launch.
