Default New 2011 M3 On Order - Finding a great deal in Southern California

I haven't posted on these forums in quite a while but getting back in the swing of things. I had to lemon my 04' M3 and just recently lemoned my 08' 135 after 4 HPFP's in under 17,000 miles.

Now I am eagerly awaiting my new 2011 AW E92 M3 which should be arriving at Port Hueneme on December 1. I have never been a fan of dealerships (sales or service) but I must say that this was time around was the easiest its ever been. I first phoned up the 2 sales reps that I had purchased from before...one offered $1,000 off of MSRP and the other never got back to me.

My intention now was to try and get a slightly better deal and use that to bring down the quote originally given to me. So I walked into Beverly Hills BMW, which was the dealership closest to me, and I honestly walked in there assuming they would mark up the car beyond MSRP. Boy was I surprised. I was greeted promptly by Mike Forouzan who was personable and easy to talk to. I handed him a list of options that I wanted on the car and told him that I wanted to order the car at dealers invoice...figuring I'd start at the lower end of the spectrum and we'd meet somewhere in between (best case scenario). He walked over to the manager, and 3 minutes later, came back and said that he would give it to me at $500 over invoice.

I was shocked...the first dealer from whom I had purchased 2 cars from already was only able to knock off $1,000 from MSRP while Mike came right back, no haggling or a dozen trips to the managers office, with an offer that I just couldn't refuse. I walked out 10 minutes later and received my order confirmation a few hours after that. I was at the dealership 20 minutes and left with an amazing deal.

Just wanted to share.

Congrats on your order. You're a brave man for sticking with BMW and after two lemons.

Congrats. Got my 2011 E90 Jerez Blk DCT ZCP from Beverly Hills BMW a bit over a month ago. They're a bit aways from me, but they were the only BMW dealer in SoCal that happened to have the exact one that I was looking for in their inventory. In reading numerous posts about people ordering one and waiting months & months, I feel fortunate for not having to go thru that process.

BTW, you might've noticed how cramped their service area is at the back. And, how the showroom is split into at least 3 different street blocks. Plus, their main car storage lot is several miles away. Anyhow, they're moving soon to a new building that's currently under construction at where the Cadillac dealer used to be (on Wilshire, between La Brea & Highland).
