I was going to suggest Planet-9 too. That's THE place for P-cars, especially Caymans and Boxsters. If those guys can't help out, then nobody can.

No worries. I frequent the OT everyday so I understand the shiftiness that goes on here lol.

To all those that actually helped, thanks! We're negotiating on a 06' CPO, with a bit under 15k miles. Car looks immaculate. They're asking 40k, hoping to get it down to 37ish if possible.

all kidding aside, that is a fair price for such low miles, and considering they have 2.9% right now. I would try to get a few grand off and call it a day. Remember, however, that the later the in-service date the better, so shop around apples to apples with that in mind. you might even be justified in paying a few grand more for a 2008 considering it could potentially have a lot more warranty on it.

one more thing, consider buying from out east where caymans will not be selling now given the weather.

We'll be paying cash, so I'm hoping we can negotiate the better deal. I've also found a 2007 in Florida with only 5400 miles, for 40k as well. This car is selling private party, so I'm a bit worried since I've never dealt with an out of state vehicle (I'm in CA).

The mileage is so low that I wouldn't anticipate any problems in the near future, and the 2007 will have a better resale value. I'd also have to consider the cost for us to fly to FL, pay for a PPI, and ship the car back.

First car is White/Black, 2nd is Black/Black.

Which seems like a better option?
