Default E90 335i xDrive or F30 335i xDrive

A friend of mind has a 2011 328i xDrive with a 6-speed manual. She has loved the car since she bought it new back in 2011. Anyways, 100% of her commute is in bumper to bumper traffic and she's ready to trade in for an automatic. Which would you buy? E90 335i xDrive or F30 335i xDrive?

F30 no doubt. Interior way way better than the e90. Steering is slightly worse but in an AWD family sedan it makes no diff.

Coming from a E90 335xi owner, in bumper to bumper traffic, the f30's 8 speed would be miles better. But thats the only advantage IMO.

She sounds like she likes to drive. If you want her to off herself after one work week, the F30. If you want to be a good friend to her, the E90.

She said that she cannot unsee the hood line of the F30 and hates it. She also said that she had test driven the new model and she hated the way it drove compared to her car

The key word here is "had"
Before you ask, $40K+ for a new Golf R is way more than she wants to spend.

You could loan her the difference. Let's get this done.
