We kinda already know what it is going to be though...

What are going to be the most significant changes from the F80 really?

Exactly right. I think about that every time a new M3 comes out.

Although I agree that the M3 has gotten too big, post e46, but at least they make an M2 now, so why worry about the M5.......sorry, I mean M3.

48v hybrid powerplant for torque fill/power will likely be the biggest thing. It'll likely be an incremental step up from the F80 since the F80 was fairly successful in what BMW was looking to accomplish. I don't think anyone saw the big right hook that Alfa threw with the Giulia QF, so as long as BMW can put the Alfa to shame then they'll be perfectly fine with sales and reputation.

Lol have you seen prices on Julia Q4s? Everyone around here is minimum advertised as 6k discount. Things are a total flop. It a cool car for sure but it’s not done well.

As expected..
They are an Italian carmaker and it was their first attempt... I donít think anyone was expecting a Lexus.

I mean the reviews place it right there with M3's and C63's I dont think it should be selling at ATS-V discounts.

I would love one TBH but I would also equally love an M3 comp, C63S.

Prices tell only part of the story. Given Alfa's reputation, most people will be weary owning one out of lease or owning a high powered one; so the discounted rate is to be expected. However, this does not directly correlate to the cars' driving dynamic and what it can do on the track/street. A ring time that beats the Panamera turbo is nothing to scoff at, and given its looks, superior sound, and overall sex appeal (it's usually red and Italian after all) to the M3 - I wouldn't lease an M3 over the QF today. So BMW does need to take a look at what Alfa did and improve upon the M3/M4.

Also, nearly every journalist has raved about the QF, touting its superiority to the F8X, C63S, etc. They can't all be wrong, can they? The car flopped in sales, but it's a magnificent machine nonetheless.

because most people shopping this segment of cars is looking for a daily driver. All those same journalists that raved about it's performance also raved about the projected horrid reliability, which is not something you want in a daily driver. Didn't help Alfa when various magazines had their press cars die in the middle of testing.
