I actually think the front end looks very much corvette. About as corvette as a mid engined car could look:

Online configurater is up and running (cosmetics only currently). Looks like you can have the accents, including the side pods, done in body color. Looks better to my eye, at least in the 3D model they let you play with.

This car will be amazing on the track, but my biggest concern is driving enjoyment on the road- no manual, electric steering, loads of grip, and portly (est ~3600 lbs wet). What does everybody else think?

Lack of manual blows, C7 had enough chassis feel to make up for modern steering to the extent that it wasn’t completely numb, and no idea on the weight yet, waiting to see the final number.

The C8 is a definite disrupter. Porsche best be worried about its 718/Cayman sales.
I hear lots of folks cancelled their Supra and GT500 orders following this release. Now that there is no engine up front, I hope the steering in the C8 will be delicious!! In a few years, we could pick one up for 20% under sticker...new. Joy of Joys. What a fantastic point of view!!

To date, nothing beats the steering feel of a E46 M3. GM's engineers know what they are doing when it comes to chassis and steering feel. The C7 Z06 and ZR1's are exceptions of when power was greater than what the chassis could bear. You should drive an Alpha chassis car (SS 1LE or ZL1 1LE) and it will change your mind on chassis dynamics. Love this side profile - ![]()
