With so many people with new cams arriving hopefully soon, can anyone point to a good diy? I need to order a bunch of parts and I want to make sure I get everything I might need. I'm prepared for cams, rockers, rocker rails, and rebuilding the vanos. Also I'm hoping this can all be done without pulling the head?

Lead time quoted in the initial post is ~3 weeks. We’re right at 3 weeks since the GB closed. I’d venture to guess that we’ll be getting an update soon from Leighton.

Sorry for the delay guys, I was out of town in PA all last week and just got back home today. I put a message in my signature saying I'd be away from the forum until today but apparently it didn't save properly. Had the opportunity to meet a few forum members in person while I was away to include Obioban, BTB, and M3ntos. Got to ride in Obioban's infamous car....Let me just say, I am SOOO glad I ordered cams after riding in his car (with two full grown large adults up front).

I am waiting to hear back from Cat Cams on an ETA and will report back when I hear from them. I appreciate everyone's patience. This is a HUGE order.

Don't have to pull the head, just a full vanos job plus a few more hours.

Here are some resources that should help:

Thank you for this - especially the TIS as I haven't seen that before. I haven't been able to find any info on replacing the followers or rails. This is the part I'm worried about. I'm guessing this can also be done without pulling the head but I'm not sure if the radiator needs to be removed in order to get the rails out.

Same, without removing the head, yes, but front bumper/radiator have to be moved out of the way to pull them out.

Bookmark this site, it has a lot of good info.

Perfect. Thanks again! I use newtis all the time to look up wiring diagrams. I never think of looking there for work instructions but of course it makes a lot of sense. Cheers.

Just wondering if Cat Cams ever got back to you? Would be nice to at least get some sort of update (I realize it takes a while to fulfill group buy orders).

At the moment, all I know is they are currently working on production of the order. I am waiting on an ETA. Turned out to be a pretty huge order. I will keep you posted as I get updates though! =)
