The car feels absolutely amazing. I felt that the clutch was fully broken in after 600+ miles of combined city/highway driving. I started really ripping on it today and it's great! For the first time I am losing traction in 1st gear w/ 255 star specs in warm weather (65 degrees). I know for a lot of you guys with S54's that is usual business but it is a big improvement for only 240 hp and this little S50.

Coolant temps are also surprising lower. Under normal driving I used to run at around 190, now with the euro coolant set up and fresh water running through the system it just runs at a rock solid 181-183.

still some minor issues to work out. It needs another new clutch master cylinder (my fault) and I really need to find out why the akg shifter is rattling really loudly (super annoying). Going to call AKG on monday.
When I went to see the car it had no clutch, so when I bought it the previous owner decided to put in a clutch kit that would last a long time.

He decided to get a Stage 4 CM's kit (I'm assuming the kit is more geared for turbo cars) with a ceramic clutch and aluminum flywheel. It's a great mod for the car, it revs like a mofo, and allows me to chirp gears (loose traction I guess). Grabs hard but again, it's a tad heavy.

I haven't checked out the temps with the car since I never owned the car with the OEM setup, but it's eons better IMO.

I am also contemplating an S54 swap but that is much later.

I would absolutely love to but I cant bring myself to maul the stock fenders to get them to fit. I would/could only do it on e46 sedan flares grafted on.

Had the most amazing 2 days at summit point. I could not have asked for anything more from the car in its current state.

Small problem with a transmission fluid leak on the big black seal under the output shaft which made some dramatic smoke coming into the pits but otherwise everything was great.

Gas station shot from the way down to Summit point over easter.

Had a transmission leak at summit point with PCA so I replaced that and sealed it with some hondabond.

new seal in.

I'm super pumped over Apex's new EC-7 wheel and the fact that they will be offering it in an 18x9.5 et43 size which will enable running a 265/35 much easier on an e36 than an et 35.

Made up some covers out of a large soup/tomato can for the sway bar mount as it was catching on the brake ducting and chafing it up. I also finally had time to it install the sneed speed brake ducts that were powder coated satin black, it looks much cleaner now. I fixed them to the bumper with 2 part epoxy and marine 5200 sealant which is super tough stuff.

It looks crude but at least it does the job and protects the expensive 2 ply 3 inch tubing from getting chafed up anymore.

and the ducts. I know paint is peeling on the lip. I rushed putting it on this spring and used some cheap paint instead of the good ole' SEM trim paint.

Here is an auto x video from last Friday with MSNE. From what I saw in the results, 2nd fastest on street tires. 5 tenths behind an STU prepped evo. As if I wasn't friends with my limiter already we are now BFFAEAEAEAE.

Nice progress Joe!
Are you going out this sunday? I'll be out there this weekend at MSNE. Hope to see you and your car out there.
