Exactly which is a GOOD thing. That was my biggest complaint when driving corvettes. They felt big. This one should feel much smaller. Still too big of a car for me.

Pretty much nothing small left outside of the Miata.

Not really before the C7. They just weren't very good cars. They weren't well made, had really crappy seats, they had crappy materials, and they did drive like a wet noodle. One of my good friends has a 1964 C2 coupe. Beautiful car, Black with red interior, 4 speed. Looks great, sounds great, drives like a 1964 wet noodle... So I've never thought about actually buying one.

At the 2014 Indy car races in Baltimore, they showed it off right next to the BMW corral. (BMW content, yes I had my E36 M3 at the corral all weekend) Getting to sit in it, I was stunned. The C7 is none of that.

When I was looking to get a new car in 2015, I cross shopped a lot. I was looking at a Cayman or 911, and a BMW M4 or 3. I liked the looks of the then still pretty new C7, but remembered all of the previous Corvettes I'd driven and seen. But I remembered that show car, so I went for a test drive.. Start the LT1 with the performance exhaust... DAMNNNNNNN! Whoomp, wobba wobba wobba WHomp! Damn.... That hasn't gotten old at all...

Well, after test driving. then configuring cars, and test driving some more. The Vette won me over. It will absolutely smoke the other cars, has as good or better materials, and was $30 to $70K+ less expensive. AND, I got 9% off MSRP on a car I ordered exactly as I wanted it. It was a no brainer. ADDED BONUS, if it does break, you can get it fixed anywhere using a rock and a hammer. It is a Chevy, parts are available EVERYWHERE.

If you haven't driven a C7 you really should. It's not what you think.

Now, if only I could fix the other people that own all the old ones... They are what you think they are....

You should drive a C6– the C7 is quite similar.
