Okay so I looked around for a couple hours and I came up with this, Imma swap out my headers for fabspeed headers instead of the cheap Manzo ones, and then I'll get a Megan supremo muffler

I did some research and I now realize why a muffler delete would've been a really bad idea

Everything exhaust related to the car sounds like garbage.

Induction on the other hand...

I ran muffler-delete straight pipes for a few days. Loud as F; had to wear ear plugs to not get a head ache. Below 6k rpm, sounded like one of those car shredders. Above 6k, it was glorious.

There is zero reason to swap out the Manzo headers for Fabspeed. Both are copies of Supersprint's non-stepped header design -- both are likely made in the same Chinese factory.

If you're going to swap headers, my advice (along with many others on this forum) is to go with the larger Supersprint Stepped V1 headers (if you want the most gains everywhere in the power band) or to swap to OE Euro headers. If you already have Manzo's copy cat headers, I'd think Euro wouldn't be worth the effort (but YMMV).

Feel free to send me a PM if you're interested in a Supersprint muffler or any of their other parts. I can offer better pricing on their products than anyone else and would be happy to pass those savings along to you. =)

Default Re: Muffler delete with Manzo headers?

I ran manzo headers with another eBay brand section 3 that had no mufflers and stock mid pipe. I didn't absolutely hate the sound but it wasn't great, still a little raspy. Later I put 2 AR20 resonators in the mid pipe and I personally think it sounds good, but did not change much in terms of volume. I am usually on the side of rowdy exhausts but it is embarrassingly loud, way past excessive. The eBay section 3's are less than $200 so if you think you want to go that loud I would give it a shot, but avoid the headers. The manzo headers caused a ton of issues for me, as well as others as discussed in other threads. For that reason I picked up some euro headers, which I really regret not getting in the first place. Haven't gotten them in yet but I doubt the exhaust note will change much. I do really like the way the straight pipe with some resonators sounds, but it would be better if I could have that same sound with a little less volume.
