I think there's two factors: seat optioning and body shape.

I find every e46 seat variant (comfort/sport/M3) comfortable other than non lumbar optioned m3 seats. My brother finds every e46 seat variant uncomfortable.

My first e46 M3 had manual seats (no lumbar option) and I had back pain after 25 minutes in the car. My current e46 M3s have the lumbar option, and I can sit in them for hours without discomfort.

Airbag light can be coded off for that error. Having the passenger bag go off in a crash, without a passenger, doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I've actually coded that error off in all my cars, and my moms, because the seat occupancy sensor has failed in all of them

I think the seats are comfortable for me. 6'0" 165lbs, although my girlfriend thinks they're uncomfortable. Maybe I just don't notice it because I have so much fun driving it!

Exactly what I got. Best part is they are almost half the weight. It's a 60 lbs weight loss over power OE seats

Yep, sure does, yet everybody pays premium to get Cinnamon or Imola. For the life of me I can't figure that out.

That's because it looks a billion times better with the two tone door cards
(subjective, but that's why I wouldn't run a black interior)

Man, I hear you guys on the M3 seats.

I have an NB Miata. After about an hour I'm ready to sell the damn car.

The M3 takes more like 3 or 4 hours before I start to really feel it.

Base Power Seats here.... no lumbar. Wondering how much someone would want for lumbar power black seats?

Absolutely. Black never clashes and it makes buying after market seats MUCH easier. BUT, something about cinnamon interior and aluminum trim, the material quality just "feels" like you are in a $100k car, even if you aren't. I imagine that Imola is similar, albeit maybe a bit more "sporty" in feel.

Although, someone posted Cinnamon Nappa leather reupholstered Recaros not to long ago. I'm not sure if they ever sold or not, but my god those were the tits!

Any of you guys ever sat in a 135i? I sat in one this passed weekend and I must say, while the E46 M3 seats have a sexier form, those seats were INCREDIBLY soft and cushiony. I have no idea how they are on long trips, but my brief ride felt like I was sitting on a cloud with those seats. It was the first thing I commented on, followed by the low end torque difference. .

It does look pretty, I'll give you that.

I just couldn't see myself paying a huge premium for interior color. For what some are paying for it, you could get a full CSL interior instead.
