hi mate. i really doubt the stud backed out. if everything was tightened reasonably well, the clamping of the stud flange to mount to nut would prevent the whole thing rotating.

try get a spanner in there (30 or 32 mm) and see if im wrong..

there is a possibility that the stud has been crossthreaded and the gap not seen during installation.

easiest fix is to fit a through bolt from inside the cabin, and weld an additional plate for the flange to clamp on (as per vince etc etc).

It's a 32 i believe and is torqued to 90nm

Possibly 30mm

Haven't had time to sort this out yet. Car still drives really well.. minor clunking sounds from that area but that could be any bloody thing knowing these cars! ;-)
