I guess I can go up to 3k with mounts if they are going to fit me but they still need to be folding, unless it is just stupid to look for those.
I'm just a little slammer than you, I wear a 38/40 waist. I'd recommend the SPG XL by recaro.. its by far the ONLY comfortable aftermarket seat I've sat in.

The answer is yes, which is terrifying.

i actually looked into these seats and being that theyre so cheap, no safety approvals I was like, no F this!

Even though they're not bad looking, I cant put some POS seats.. people don't realize how crucial your seats are.

Recaro Sportster CS' all the way.

I've had them in my car for 2-3 years now and wouldn't own anything else.

It's better than your trolling skills.

^very annoying to have the 3 point receiver digging into your hip.
(my plan for that is I need to have them reupholstered either way, in imola leather, so I'll have them add that area at that time).

I'm 6'3.5 and I find the Sporster CS harness holes to be almost too low to safely use (harnesses should be able to leave your shoulders at a 0-20 downward slope, unobstructed by the seat). At 6'5, I suspect you're too tall to use them (unless your height is legs). I'd for sure test sit them first.

Since your car is dual purpose street/track, if you do go the sportster route, I wouldn't get the low sided cross sport version.
That is really weird... on the M3 GTS it looks like the SPG XLs don't have any sort of recess for the seat belt receiver, I wonder if that could be added (removed) later.

Eventually I see my car going in the direction of track/drift/weekend car so I wonder if I can just deal with the SPG till then, I'd like to do it right the first time. I'm sure getting in and out is an annoyance but I can't wait till I can get myself a few inches closer to the floor. Hell, I'm young right lol. I'm sure I need the highest belt holes I can get too

If you'd like me to put you in touch with the owner of Livery, let me know! He's a good buddy of mine. I really loved those wheels, but have an issue running the same set for more than 2 years.

Default Re: What seats to upgrade to for Daily Driver?

I haven't read through the entire thread so sorry if my recommendations have been asked and answered, but as a guy who has both owned and tried a few different seats:

I am around 285 lbs, 5'11", but I have a long torso and short legs, so from where my butt plants in a seat to roof, I have the same height issues as a typical 6' or 6'1" person (compared against my friend). Just to give you an idea about my body type.

I fit well in Recaro Profi SPG XL, Sparco Evo III, and Recaro Sportster CS. I am a bit of a tighter fit in a Porsche GT2 seat (mostly irrelevant but in case anyone has sat in one, it's to offer a baseline). I am a tight fit in a Recaro Pole Position, and do not fit in a Sparco Evo II US (and don't imagine I'd fit in a Evo II standard either).

I currently own a Profi XL, with one on it's way to my house to be delivered Friday, and another one on order. Three Profi XLs total. Love em. It's my go-to seat. For strictly daily driving and zero track time ever, I would consider the Sportster CS first and foremost, although I am putting the Profi XL in a completely daily driven car myself. They're comfortable for me and help with my back problems (I have a bulged disk in my upper back and sciatica problems and it holds me in a good posture position).

Since any seats I get will need to be reupholstered anyway, I'm just going to have them add an indent for the 3 point belt receiver if I go the SPG XL route.
