Pulled Blizzak rears - still 8/32 left. 2 winters , probably 5-6k miles on them. Even wear.

I think I got a bad lot of super sports. Hopefully they stand behind them - warranty etc.

The wear looks even. I'll have to find the spec sheet but it's within factory spec from what I recall.

I kinda doubt there would be a defect in the rubber compound... are you sure your suspension is in good condition? Did you get the fronts and rears at the same time?

That's some crazy wear. I got 22k from my last set of rears and am at around 32k on the fronts.

Yep, fronts and rears installed @same time.

I agree it's crazy. But since my winter tires are wearing fine - I have no other idea what it could be.

It's gotta be toe. What're your toe settings?

hmm.. that is weird that your fronts are wearing almost as fast as the rears it seems...

Are you sure there was a full 10 or 11 or whatever 32ths of depth when they were new?

0.20 degree was the recorded rear toe

Range is 0.13 -0.23 per the spec sheet

I bought them from a local dealer and they sure looked new.

That's per side,,yes? Run half that and your tires will last longer with great handling.

What's your rear camber?

This.

Toe is what ruins tires, from an alignment cause of course.

Just a FYI, these tires degrade quickly at the track/lots of spirited driving. Great for street tires, though, just don't hold up well under heat cycles.

I believe the camber was aprox -1.8 .

The odd thing is that I ran a set of 19" Nitto tires with these same alignment specs for a summer ..(5k miles?) with no noticeable change in tire wear.

The Nitto tires came with the car (unknown install date) ..and when I took them off 10k miles later (5k of those miles post alignment) they still had 1/2 life left.

If it is the toe .. why are my winter tires not wearing so quickly?
