Default Joying Anyone!

This device could offer an E36 M3 modern possibilities, includes running Windows XP virtual machine for live on-board diagnostic, GPS, and even digital gauges via software for force induction...does anyone has one? My only wish is it could have able to upgrade the memory to 4GB. https://www.carjoying.com/

For the radio to support Canbus or OBD features it would need that data in the radio harness, which these cars don't have.

Thanks for responding...not sure what you're talking. The device comes with two USB ports...so one can connect directly to the diagnostic port just as one does with a laptop. Since my car is a 95M3 that means I would need a real serial port, I plan to use an E46 engine harness and DME, as well as the Euro crankshaft sensor. However, the 96-99 M3 does have that problem since they're OBD2. I need the ability to data log as I am planning going FI.

Yes, open source is an option that when used with this http://tinyurl.com/lkmlgml would allow me to keep the original DME and harness. This could be more cost-effective and equaled in cost to Zeitronix data logger that most guys in the FI section use on the 95M3 or OBD1 cars. However, the Joying offers more. The only draw back is having to tap the harness and making it look pretty as if factory.

Not sure if that is what you want, but the OpenOBC should be able to display all DME parameters that you can read with INPA.

Right now we keep frying the main chip that allows this. We're working on it.

Really appreciate this info M_Parallel...I am currently reading up on it and it seems very interesting indeed.
