Many of the cars that E.A.G. has offered for sale have been among the very best examples available. They could and should base their reputation solely on the merits of their inventory, especially when they've invested so heavily in the procurement process.

They've sold their share of shady cars over the years, but I have a hard time thinking of any dealer with a faultless reputation; their attempt to position themselves qualitatively above their competition only tends to motivate people to point out those shadier cars.

This is one of those questions with an answer that differs depending on who you're talking to. I wouldn't buy a car from them without a negotiation.

As far as E36 goes, there aren't a ton of cherry examples left. Those that are, private sellers want huge premiums for them and EAG won't buy them unless they can get it down to the right price. Plus, the E46 market is exploding right now so it makes sense to focus on those.

I bought a car from EAG and was FAR from impressed. They're just like any other dealer.

Bingo!
There are plenty of problems with EAG cars. They don't personally own the car and to make a profit, you can't fuss over much. Well... they fuss over the photo-shoot.

Lol bullshit. You think if you walked in with a bank draft they would say no? They love to act like they are some elite dealer that can pick their buyer but it's all a farce.
Also you think they wouldn't buy any of shockwaves cars if he was to offer them even they don't fit in the parameters for f their "strict buy back policy"?

My brother sold them an e39 M5. It was not a cheap example and they didn't underpay. Selling them a car was a pretty great experience, in fact.

Though I'm sure they sold it for much more, the idea that they're starting with cheap examples seems incorrect to me.

^ True, back a few years ago I had first right of refusal on an 80k mile 1 owner E36 M3 sedan I checked out in person (I ended up passing on it) - EAG had a check already written out to him for a strong amount just waiting to mail it., they did and they listed it for >20k

My current Byzanz sedan was from there although I didnt buy it from them - its very nice. My S52 M Coupe I previously owned was brought from them and it was probably the cleanest used car I have ever bought. Im sure a few questionable cars slip through but overall I think they try to deal in quality. They are good guys.

My brother bought from EAG and then sold back 18 months later a E46 M3. He then saw what they resold it for.

He was happy all around with the car he got, what he paid, what they bought it back for, and what they made on the resale which was a very fair margin.
