Default EAG lack of inventory

Looks like they are having inventory issues with e36 m3's...

They have said that they are not actively searching for E36s at this point.

No shock here but the E36 is the cheapest of the M3s leaving less profit per sale.

Simply not enough meat on the bone.

I call BS. They are a business, I'm sure they are looking but they just can't find good enough deals.

All the e36 m3's they list get sold fairly quickly.

If anything them posting a track car shows that they are getting slightly desperate.

I believe that track car has been listed for quite a awhile. I think the reason they have relatively few E36's is they can't mark them up excessively and sell them quickly. The E36 is looked at as the black sheep of the M3 family right now. It wasn't always like this and I expect the E36 will gain respect as the years pass.

They can't find cheap, good cars. They aren't going to pay market value, wash a car and sell it for double. They want to start with a cheap car, wash it, and sell it for double.

We are saying the same thing.

Their goal is probably $7500 or more profit per sale. Standard mileage E36s aren't going to get them there.

E36s clog their showroom and storage facility and they get less profit per sale.

E.A.G. love to create the illusion that they're aware of every car out there, turn down many nice cars offered for sale privately due to disqualifying faults, and pass on certain models due to their lack of desirability.

It's all marketing, and it continues to sucker the gullible into overpaying for their inventory, all while crapping on other people's sales in an obvious effort to bolster their reputation. There is a considerable portion of the classic car market that will pay for snob appeal, and those are the guys most of us avoid at car meets and cruises.

Search through E.A.G. comments on Bring a Trailer for many examples of them crapping on other cars for utter chickenshit reasons. I'm sick of it. I didn't mind their pricing and business model when it was all about their profit, but when they start attacking other beautiful cars just to make themselves look exclusive I get angry.

Hmm, didn't know they did that. I enjoy the eye candy they post on Facebook, but that's about all they're good for.

One of my coworkers sold his white/black cloth/5MT E36 M3 Coupe to a buyer for high teens. When I say the car was mint, I truly mean it. Then the next seller sold it to EAG, and EAG had it listed for $23k. I don't know what they ended up selling that car for, but it was stunning.
