+1 for the Origin Equipment cupholders. E36 center tunnel carpets wouldn't be so stained if they were OE.

Those seats are out of a car with >200,000 km when it died. These cloth seats hold up much better than the leather ones that are common in the NA spec E36 M3.

Yep. I think the car had 260k when I got them. I do think they were non original to Matt's car as well though. They aren't perfect, but they are in great shape. I'd say they would be beat though at this age with average ownership habits.

How come nobody has mentioned the OE Equipment Cupholders?

I love them.

For the original cup holders to be their best you should cut the bottom out. They were fine but don't work with my race car ashtrays haha.
Also how can you shift with your giant drink there?

Haha, It was more or less for demonstrational purposes, and for the "because I can" feeling. Owning this car for over 10 years and not being able to put a normal sized drink in the cupholder, I got a kick out of the giant soda.

They are not the "OEM" cupholders, but an aftermarket cupholder made by a dude, who's company is "Origin Equipment" or "OE".

Just checked his website and its down. Maybe he is not making them anymore, but they are awesome. Look OEM, yet they can hold the biggest of big gulps.

Because drinks have no business inside the car. And the OEM carphone beats all other OEM trim, although I do understand it has no function in the US.

Like others here, I have the simple oddments tray with armrest console (thanks Marty!). I don't have drinks in the car because of the cloth interior, but when I have to drive for hours to a client site I use the door pocket cupholders for water. They're not pretty, but they're functional, most people don't even notice them, and most importantly they're nowhere near the shift knob.
