Stay very involved, and very vocal. Looks like the engine compartment is undamaged, so you MAY have a shot here.

If you love the car and can deal with the hit to value, can always salvage. And with insurance companies totaling BMWs left and right due to repair costs, that is not the scarlet letter it used to be.

It might be ok. One of my friends just did a BMW that was sideswiped. had to replace the front and rear door. Insurance wanted to write it off but he managed to fix it fully. Thankfully the frame wasnt damaged and he sourced two OE doors from other vehicles.

Owner says it drives as good as the first day he got it.
