I would love to see this value hysteria continue, but I do not feel like it is sustainable

3 days left in the bidding...seems to have stalled out but what is likely happening is that the interested bidders are keeping their powder dry for the last minute action. I like how BaT strives to ensure there is no 'sniping'. This will get interesting.

Where would Vegas set the over/under? $150k?

Hysteria? Great Def Leppard album+song but I don't think it's what is going on here. Shoot, weren't 993 Porsche Turbos (with moderate mileage) selling for $300k not that long ago? Plus, if I had a lot of money in the financial markets I would be a bit skittish right now about which direction the world is headed and want to hedge my bets with hard assets.

FWIW we all said that about air cooled 911 and E30 M3's at one point. Not saying it will reach the same level, but we all had the same train of thought with the values.

$133K now.

I wouldn't be surprised if it got to $150K.

This isn't due to a bubble. It's due to the fact that the car has 100 miles on it, was one of 130 or so, and it is 22 years old.

A bubble is when there's a huge shift in demand. As in, thousands - if not hundreds of thousands people bidding/buying the sale type of product. That's not what this is. This is going to be purchased by a museum, dude with a shit load of money to burn, or mega collector.

EAG had their car for sale for $199K. We do not know what they ultimately got, but that was over a year ago and the price seems to be about what this BAT auction will get and what EAG got (assuming they negotiated the price a bit). That's not indicative of a bubble. It's indicative of what a 1995 LTW with 100 miles on it goes for at market value.

The only bubble this car will see is what it'll sit in for the rest of its life.
