Speculative purchase - hoping it appreciates like the 930TT P Cars?
Or just hit lottery, and wants to be the baller in his hood. |

If the winning bidder can afford this piece of artwork, I am willing to bet he/she has other pieces of rolling art that would make you drool, and I am also willing to bet his/her DDs (plural) are nicer than anything you or I own. He she may even offer to buy your pride and joy to use as a winter beater because his/her other piece of crap car is nicer that yours.
I am envious of the winning bidder. I showed the auction to my wife. She gave me the OK to go up to 95K. I was too late it had already topped 111K

Another E36 BAT had a few weeks ago should interest all much more...
1997 118K Dakar coupe sold for $14,750. Need a fair amount of work and still went for $15K. http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1997-bmw-m3-16/ Between this car and the LTW - we are learning quite a bit about the market for these cars.

That was an interesting auction to watch and nicely indicative of what you can get a very good, but not perfect e36 m3 for.
