Red face Should I buy this e30 bmw m3?

Hi, i have found a suspiciously cheap 1990 bmw m3 on my local classifieds (kijiji.ca). It has over 300000km, a bit of rust, terrible interior, needs a waterpump, and an igniton. Or at least that what he tells me. I havent looked at it in person yet, but the pictures online dont look to good.I am 17 and want to buy a cheap first car. I know this car will need alot of work, but i was wondering how much it will cost roughly to fix it up. And what are some common issues to look at for when i do go and see the car.So i would like some advice , should i buy it and fix it up, or will cost too much and isn't worth the struggle.

They are amazing but parts are getting expensive. Have a look on eBay to see what some guys are asking, e.g. Genuine m3 recaro seats US$5500. But on forums amongst enthusiasts you can find bits cheaper. I am an Architect and could not afford the E30 M3 so settled for a Mtech II which I have already spent more than the car is worth but I don't care cause I will keep it.

You don't want that car at 17 years old. You're probably looking at at least 10-15k to fix it up probably even more.

Would an 318i or a 325i e30 be cheaper to mantain and fix. or how about a e36?

Yes, much more, because the parts are easily accessible and much cheaper.
