Cool, thanks. Wish I didn't have to be fiscally responsible so I could run an evolve box

Here's the second part of the CSL wiring difference (engine and SMG transmission harness).

Basically just 2 extra wires and a slightly different plug. Rest are the same as standard M3 wiring harness:

CSL:

Stock M3 SMG:

All of these are exactly the same between the two harness:

Wiring in this plug is exactly the same and so are the rest on this upper portion of the harness:

That is why it is not worth the 1200 they dealers want for just the motor harness. Used if you can find one is cheaper but that is the hard part.

That changed plug actually has nothing to do with CSL vs non -- it has to do with the build date. At some point (September 2003 I think), bmw changed the connector for the dme box fan from 3-pin to 2-pin.

The other two wires are for the flap connector.

So I don't think its really worth buying that second harness unless a US SMG owner wants to cleanly relocate the O2 wires.

The main harness is nice to have... But it's not cheap.

I agree.

At least the photos will hopefully help those that want a tidy conversion done to their harness. Not hard to replicate at all in my opinion.

Agreed. I did run my wires a little differently just to make things a bit easier, but could pretty easily replicate such a setup.

Hey guys, I am troubleshooting a problem with my CSL airbox conversion. I've installed the TTFS MAP rail / MSS54HP ecu / GSR airbox. Everything runs fine, but the car has ZERO power (by zero, I mean Camrys are pulling off the line ahead of me without trying... and my pedal is to the floor). It is very sad, yes. My car ran perfect before the conversion with a standard TTFS tune.

All of my wiring seems to be okay (tested with a volt meter and datalog shows all sensors to be working). Car runs perfectly smooth, starts fine cold/warm, idles fine, accelerates fine (but does so VERY slowly). I originally tried running the car without moving the fuel pump relay pin from X60002 Pin 11 -> X60004 Pin 10, and today switched the pin over to the empty slot in X60004 with no noticeable change (runs almost the same, maybe a little more power). Here are some more details which may help:

-Stock US cams (not-CSL)
-Jun '01 build vert
-6MT
-No flap
-Green fuel pump relay (came this way from factory... pin locations were verified today)
-3 error codes: 6, 124, 130

I am waiting for a reply from TTFS but maybe someone on here can help.

*PS thanks to the OPs for all the info it made the wiring conversion very straightforward.
