Default under tray? Belly Pan? skid plate? Front aggregate protective plate?

here is the pictures of underside of my e46 m3.

as you can see under shield is rip-off and broken. So I'd like to buy a replacement for it.

and I did search on REALOEM.

I found part number 51718218384, 51717028893. mine was produce in 2001 so I think 51718218384 is for my M3

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...83#51717028893

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/part...&q=51718218384

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...e/51718218384/

but this is 9kg and seem like it's metal..

broken piece hangs uner my M3 is plastic.

So I was confused. then I have searched a little more.

found this.. parts number 51717895091

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...n/51717895091/

it says lower belly pan. and REALOEM says "Engine compartment screening, front"

I think that lower belly pan is what I should buy it..

but I'm a little confused. what's"Front aggregate protective plate " for???

some reinforcement parts??

can some give some information about this?

thanks.

You want the lower belly pan, P/N 51717895091. Mine was missing when I got the car, along with the plastic drain plug cover (yours is missing too). I would recommend getting both of these and new hardware (ECS offers the hardware along with the drain plug cover). If you need the left and right fender liners too, you can get those as a kit along with the belly pan for ~$300 at ECS

You might want to take off your reinforcement plate (metal pan under engine) to give it a good cleaning and replace that hardware, too..

Too many parking curbs, or dropped too low. Both parts available from BMW, and as BTB mentioned... also by ECS.

Drain cover no longer available since a few years ago. Most others are also missing theirs.

We are in luck, there must have been another run of them. I bought a new one last month.

thank you all of you! this thread cleared my concern.

Now I can see what's missing too. My car has lots of problems. suspension and engine oil is leaking somewhere. engine oil is consumed so quick.. well, hope that I can fix them all.

thank you again.
