Default Lets discuss more about audio!

I have do have sweet spot for good sounding audio. Not looking for block rocking beats, a good to high end setups.
So with being stated, I built a system that sounds REALLY good and somewhat on mid level budget. Here a rough diagram.

In my 330, I had a 5 speaker setup. OZ Audio CS180s, FI Audio Q12, Audiocontrol DQX and a Eclipse head unit. Ran old school US Amps (unregulated power supplies...before they were bought) and then switched to Sundown Audio.

The tweet was molded into the a pillar. I built an enclosure attached to the door for the 6.5" mid. I really didn't need the sub but what the heck? Ran them in an active crossover from a 100x4 amp.

E46s suck if you want max bass. If you are willing to modify your doors and door panels...you really can get some amazing sound. You can eliminate the midbass mudiness that afflicts most car audio setups. The DQX was a 30 bad dual channel parametric EQ. No adjustment was +/- 2 db.

The OE system is underpowered and has too many speakers.

E46 certainly has some sound challenges in the mid bass department. I think the hk 6x9s does get around it to a certain extent. Its no doubt why BMW mounted the bass drivers in the strings part of the car in models after (under seat 6inch in ported enclosed)

Ended up going two way components , bigger amps and subwoofer route. Tried cleaning up the sound from factory system by doing RCA mode and the likes, had some success Ended up ongoing on a digital route into DSP for music source. Factory system plugs via analogue inputs on dsp.

System is now up to my audio expectations from a car.
