The thing is though, it’s incredibly easy to swap the connectors in the picture around. Then when you install them, you think they are in the right place but they are not. So always check, swap them around OR take one out and see which bank comes back with a code.

When my oxygen sensors where non functional in my E36 swap idle was also all over the place and it stalled etc.

Everybody was absolutely right. I pulled what I thought was the bank 1 precat plug, and did a scan, and it threw a code for bank 2 precat. Plugged it back in and pulled what should be bank 2 precat, and threw a code for bank 1 precat.

Currently at the shop getting fixed. I'll update as soon as I get it back.

Final update. Got the car back this afternoon, and it is driving like a dream. Idles perfectly and doesn't feel sluggish at all. You guys have helped me solve a problem that I have been fighting for over a year, and it is greatly appreciated.
