Default Is this e46 m3 too good to be true?

https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...2623/overview/

It's supercharged, clean title, 6 spd, and 45k miles. For 18k.... I called the dealer and they said the car is in Michigan and that they will call me back about it later. They never did. The car has been discussed before on forums as having issues and being traded from dealer to dealer.

Here's the link to the dealers website :

Any input would be appreciated!

It's hard to say if anything is wrong with it, but if there isn't, it would a steal. The BBS LM's alone would be worth a few thousand dollars.

On the other hand, Corbeau Seats and a SC would suggest it was not babied.

I would tend to think it is too good to be true. Why would the original owner, who clearly must have know what he had, sell if for less than that to the dealer? I mean if they are selling it for $18.5k, because they are clueless, that still would not explain why the original owner would have just let it go for what was probably $15k, since a dealer would mark it up a few thousands. You can return that car to stock and sell it for mid $20's then sell of the LM's and the SC for another $5k plus.

Even if this car was stock for this price it sounds too good to be true. its an 03, 45000 miles and its a manual. Um that alone warrants 20k and up, albeit all else being equal. Meaning if it wasnt a lemon, subframe aint cracked, vanos is not shot etc etc. the car would get 20k or more easy.
