Geez, you take refurbishing to another level. I just want to load my E36 and just drop it at your shop haha. Super fun read so far, thanks for that

You mentioned earlier about a problem with the Riot Racing TB. What issue did you run into? I had them bore out and install a new TB butterfly plate in mine. It looks ok, feels ok, but I have not installed yet. Should I be aware of something before I install?
Thanks!
Joe

As it heated up it would stick and idle hang. I even repositioned the plate which helped but the issue still persisted. This came off a friends car who experienced the same issues (he is the original owner). RR ignored his email on the issue.

Hopefully you didn’t have RR do any cam work.

No, my cams are from Epic Motorsports. Just the TB. Guess I'll wait and see how it goes. Not sure there is much I can do about the TB short of sourcing a replacement. I've heard of the issues regarding the cams. Cam regrinding just sounds like a bad idea from the get-go.

Outside a list of all torque specs, your build threads are more valuable, and contain much more e36 knowledge than a Bentley Manual. I’m grateful for the knowledge transfer. Currently I’m doing a “small” refresh on a 98 m3/4/5 I picked up in Nov.

I like the clean, but OEM look of the calipers. Did you just glass blast them or did you powder coat/paint them?

Question for you, what brand is the power steering cooler and the hose below here?

Thanks

OEM painted metal with replacement high pressure hose. Ignore that though, it was all replaced with new OEM parts in the proper zinc finish.
