you are correct. unnecessary work.

But... I am a mechanical engineer, and I like to build things. I also happen to work at a metal fabrication shop currently so I have access to the tools to do it. It would be satisfying for me to build rather than just install it.

You are a photographer, so it is similar to the way you approach taking pictures and feel having spent time adjusting your camera and finding the perfect angle to use the natural light and the shape of whatever you are shooting. I would just pull out my phone and take a few and hopefully one would be good enough.

on topic, post some sound videos of that shiny muffler when you can! is the rest of your exhaust stock?

Good comparison. I totally get it. If you have the means and knowledge, do it!

Just figured I'd add into here the last little bit of photos.
Took the car on a trip from Vancouver to San Francisco 3 weeks ago. All the way down the 101.

Bet I won't see this again.

Had a last drive today up the sea to sky highway with classic car adventures. Tons of crazy cars out. Stopped for a photo at our favourite quick drive destination. Porteau Cove.

It is beautiful. I might, using pictures of your car, have my girl friend convinced that she needs a tecnoviolet at some point in the future. Purple is her favorite color...

I just flickr stalked you. The new exhaust looks beautiful. Do you know what size those tips are? I decided it would be easier to buy a dual-in, dual-out muffler to weld to the existing pipes on my exhaust instead of rebuilding the muffler, and am trying to decide what size tips to use. I think I like the squared off look of those.

My fiancee can't drive stick, which works out well for me.

Car looks amazing!! That is one sweet drive from Seattle/Vancouver to San Francisco. Did you by chance take Hwy 1 from where it starts and branches off from 101? That is one twisty road :-)

What a perfect example of a clean OEM+ build. Its beautiful. I didn't think I'd like ambers on the Techno Violet but they work really well. Good job in total

The picture with the boats, looks like you got fogs and then the last picture you have fog-deletes?

Great pictures never-thee-less...were they taken with your smartphone or DSLR camera?

Thanks guys.
Exhaust is 76mm. 83 would definitely be too big and 70 would be about stock size.

I didn’t take the 1 as we were visiting a friend in Sonoma on a tight timeline. I did take the avenue of the giants though. Man it was amazing through there.

All these pics were taken with my dslr. It think it’s a Nikon d5200?

Car has fog deletes now. I cracked a fog on the drive and thought it was a perfect time to mix up the look. I like how it goes with the Motorsport theme. It’s just a 5 minute process to change it up as well.
