Default ok to auto-x with CPV leaking?

thinking of doing an auto-x in houston this weekend, but my CPV is leaking slightly and my tension belt pulley needs to be replaced (have a bit of a squeal on cold starts) - asides from these 2 things the car is in perfect shape and all maintenance is up to date.

should i stay away from auto-x till i resolve both issues?

thx

As long as you don't have a gusher coming out of the CPV you'll be fine. I've never seen a CPV leak that wasn't a drip or two here or there. Heck, mine had been leaking for some time before I knew about it, and I had no problems auto crossing.

that's what i figured, but i thought i would ask since it seems like you really have to stay on top of these cars maintenance wise.

my feeling on the pulley is the same but if someone else has a different view i'd love to hear it. thx

If you are interested in DFW area autocrosses check www.dfwautocross.com for dates. No need to drive to Houston.
