Default Factory Spoiler Help

Looking to refresh my factory spoiler which is in pretty good condition overall but the gaskets and screws might need some R&R.

Can anyone tell me what these decals that run beside the trunk area are for? They seem to cushion the spoiler during flex as evidence by paint marks on it

Also, anyone experiencing stress cracks on the spoiler mounts?

They protect the paint on the tops of the quarter panels during flex/closing.

+1 on this.
Mine were so cracked and black that I removed them. I traced their pattern out before removing. Got them up with a heat gun and some Goo Gone.

I looked them up for a part number here: https://bmweba.com/eba-01-29-9-787-929/ but cannot find them anywhere. Tried to order some protective film and cut out a new set from the film. The shape was fine but they did not hold.
Very interested in a solution.

Laminx will work. I can coordinate getting a batch cut if there is interest. I also want to get the OE hood latch protection piece cut too.

The painted portion under the plastic originally has a laminx piece there to protect the hand latch from scratching the paint. Maybe BMW still sells it, I haven't looked.
