Question E36 BMW 318 1998 4-door saloon

My old BMW has sadly died. I'd like to replace it with a 318 1998 4-door saloon.

Could someone please tell me if this model has the folding rear seats that lets you poke cargo through into the cabin from the trunk/boot?
Huge thanks!

Nick

Nick,

Unfortunately, it is only the Coupe' that had the folding rear seats. I might be wrong, but I do believe that the sedans did have the ski shoot, but that is all.

Nope, 4dr also had the rear fold down option. I had a e36 318i and seat folded down.

generally from those of you who have owned an E36 318i,
would you recommend it as a daily driver, or would you want to stay away from this model??

After owning a 318i, I got appreciate horsepower especially moving from a 318i to an M3. Don’t get me wrong it was a fun car but going up steep hill or getting on the freeway from an onramp, it took awhile to accelerate. I had no mechanical problems, I put about 160K miles and sold for KBB.
I would recommend as a daily driver, but if I had the choice between a 318 or a 325, I would have chosen the 325.
