Default HELP - PASoft Cannot Retrieve Coding Data for IKE

I am trying to change the coding for my Service Indicator Intervals using PASoft but it is unable to retrieve coding data form the IKE module (screenshots attached). Trying to read it the status bar just stays yellow and then after a minute it says "No Coding Data Retrieved"

I was able to read the EEPROM and I was able to change the Language/Measurements settings from Miles to Kilometers. Also I was able to read the EEPROM and Coding data (where available) of all my other modules (except the MK60 as that is currently removed for a rebuild)... The others all work without issue or error.

I have the same issue. Been playing with it for weeks. No clue how to change it. So annoying.

Yer I thought it might maybes be the Avant-3 already having a connection with the IKE or something but I tried putting the IBUS app into Garage Mode (so it disconnects from the car) and still no luck so it was unrelated to that. It's really painful as everything else works seamlessly.

If anyone has any idea how to fix this or what to try to debug it that would be most appreciated.

Also in the interim if anyone could give me a few pointers on how to do the same task through NCSExpert or the like that would be great

I hear ya man. Whatís also annoying is SOOOO much other stuff can be done through the IKE. Itís like the ONE module you want access to lol.

Are you trying to set a custom service interval or just use one of the presets? I spent an entire day trying to set a custom interval to 5k miles via ncsdummy and got really close, but somehow the car doesn't understand it. Hex values were indeed correct, but it seems it needs to be done via netodata which the e46 doesn't support. Typically the change is done via ncsexpert not pasoft.

Your issue connecting to the IKE is kinda odd though. What errors are currently present? Could be a hardware issue or something blown. Either that, or IKE coding data isn't a supported function for the e46 chassis since coding is typically done via NCS other than basic changes pa soft can access.

PASoft has issues with E46 M3 clusters for whatever reason. Just do what you need through NCS.

Cool. I'm kinda glad to hear that in a way as it means nothing is strictly wrong my end... although it is annoying as hell as looking at the guides on E46Fanatics it looks like a super simple change to make through PASoft.

Any guidance or pointers on doing this through NCSExpert?
I kinda get the basics of the software and used it to do the M-Track Mode and a few other things but I am definitely no expert (pun intended).

Hmm its not terribly hard... if you follow the M-Track Mode install guide and you roughly understand coding/computers then how NCSExpert works starts to kinda make sense, enough that I'm not super scared of it but it is definitely helpful if someone points you to the right line of the right module file before you go writing stuff.
