Default LED and Xenon Programming

I'm headed to the dealer to get the airbag recall sorted.
While there I figured I'd have them code the LCM for OEM LED tails and front Xenons that I'm going to put on the car.

My question is, do I have to wait to install the lights first or can I 'prep' the car by having it coded for these first and then install the LED tails and front xenons at a later time?

Everything I've read says my 09/2002 production date has an LCM that accepts coding for Xenons but it needs to be programmed if installing them. Are you saying that's not the case?

I looked up the coding work needed and don’t have that time to invest given the cost for someone else to do it. I’ll pay it. Just need to know if I can save some time doing it now or have to wait until after the lights are actually installed.

You can do the coding before or after.

I mean it's literally like 10 minutes to install the software and 30 seconds to actually flip the switches, but whatever.

There should be no harm to pre-coding the taillights other than losing your "bulb out" warnings

For the headlights, you'll lose your highbeams if you code before installing them. If you install the headlights without coding, the low beams will flicker on/off before the LCM cuts power to them completely.
