Default Is this a good deal? 97 M3/4/A

https://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/...718119902.html

I've got a deposit down on this car and have been waiting for a weekend off to be able to go out and pick it up. Basically it's going to be tight on time to be able to fly out and get this any time soon and I'm considering walking away from it.

But if this is as good of a deal as I think it is, I'm willing to figure out a way to do it.

Thanks in advance

Id question why only the radiator was replaced, due to failure? If so did the engine overheat?
New t-stat and water pump? If not, why not?

Looks like a good amount of documentation.
What is current suspension?

Good point on the radiator being replaced.

I'm not too concerned with the condition of the car. The seller has been very forthcoming and sent me tons of pictures in videos.

The car is a 12 hour drive from me so I'm trying to decide if this deal is too good to pass up or I should just wait for one closer to me.

Fair deal for the auto, mileage and records.

Most of the body lines and panel gaps look good. Obviously, check for all the VIN tags on the body panels.

The trunk on the driver's side doesn't line up with the quarter panel above the tail light nearly as well as it does on the passenger's side. Might just need a slight adjustment, (but why was the trunk was off in the first place (if it was)).

The rear bumper does look like it sags a bit underneath the trunk. And the front bumper is sagging on the driver's side under the headlight and is not properly aligned with the fender at the wheel well.

Both bumpers' fitments are easy enough to adjust, if there's no underlying damage.

Moldings and door handles look new or recently dyed/treated. Could also be photoshop - the windows look tinted in some pictures and un-tinted in others.

Weird armrest - never seen that before.

Fading on the rear deck lid.

I'm choosing to ignore the other issues like the CAI and torn door seal.

Have they removed some of the pictures in the last few hours, there are no engine bay or interior pics now, only 9 external ones...

I've seen this on Craiglist the last couple of weeks, looks like a pretty solid deal to me. Desirable color combo, looks clean, documentation. If no accidents I think you would be in it for pretty good money.

There was recently a alpine/Modena m3/4/5 on the forum for $12.5, that looked like an even better deal. Still some out there.

There's a very similar Alpine sedan, also with an automatic, for the exact same price on ebay right now: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-BMW-M3...1:pf:0&vxp=mtr

But that car has 30k more miles and a "minor issue" on the vehicle report that the seller didn't go into detail on... So overall I'd say not a bad deal as long as everything checks out/no accidents/no rust. I'd probably get a PPI to be safe.

If you can DIY, it’s a great opportunity. Do a manual conversion for $1000 in parts. With you know the engine has not been money shifted. And if the radiator does not fix the overheating issue, you could change heads for $1000 in parts.

Thank you everyone for the insight and taking the time to comment, from the looking I've been doing it seems to be a good price but I've only been looking for a few months.

Thanks for the info, I've looked over those pictures several times and missed a few of the things you caught. The trunk alignment does concern me a bit. There was rear window damage reported on the carfax but it says not from a collision so not sure what to think of that. He has the stock airbox so the CAI shouldn't be a problem. I'll definitely take a close look around the bumpers to make sure there is no other damage.

There's a link to a google drive that has a bunch of photos, but you have to cut and paste.
