Default Presentation and a question

Hello everyone,
Iím from Montreal, Canada and I have 97 sedan five speed black with black interior that I bought in November 2014. I became a frequent reader not long after that and I found here a lot of inspiration and motivation to work on my car. My M3 is not perfect but I love It and it's a very fun project for me. Secondly, excuse me if I make some mistake along the way but french is my first language.

Now my question, I wanted to replace my cruise control cable that was rusty, I found the part number for my model on Real OEM and I ordered the part # 65712228748 and it did not fit. The cable that was on my car is part number # 65718380077 and this cable seems to go on 323I and 328I on ECS Tuning. I also checked my throttle body (part number # 13541433385) on real OEM and it seems that I have the right throttle body.
My car has a sketchy story and I just want to be sure that everything is ok and that I have the right throttle body on my car. Thanks for your help. Karl.

What’s your VIN? Are you sure it’s really an m3?

You might need #65712266773 however, when I plug that PN into search on ECS and FCP Euro, returns this: 65712228748...

Englishtom1596q, yes I'm sure, I did run my VIN on BMW M registration and it was ok. I did also run the carfax and the history is correnponding with my bills and papers.

I ran into the same problem. I ordered a "correct" cable, and it was way too long. I had to repair/refurb the original one. I have no idea what the actual 'correct" part number would be.

Mine is rusty too... I have a 1995 Just like rich. My last 7 are Elephant Harvey 07nine12 (Late 1995). A real eyesore in the engine bay. Any help with the actual part number would be great.

Thank you!
