Glad this thread got a fresh bump, that car is looking GOOD! Glad to see it's since retired from DD duties, and that it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Iíd love a replica LTW/GT wing, but the price to buy a decent rep plus prep and paint is a little too much right now. Iím sure my car will continue the slippery slope to a dedicated track car and get a real wing in a few years anyway...

No problem. I'd say it's around 2" deep. I've had it for probably 5 years and it's help up amazing. Gotta say I was thoroughly surprised

I know right? I still have projects that I was talking about back in 2014 that I still haven't done on this car haha. It can't even come close to touching some of the cars here, including yours.

The other 2 cars are:
2018 BMW X2 in Misano Blue, which is a company lease car. Pretty much all the mileage goes on this one.

1997 Toyota 4Runner that I've had before even the E36. I use it to haul stuff, including dogs. It's got over 320k miles on it:

Thanks! You're car inspired me to get the alignment actually! I was showing my buddy the last picture you posted and told him this is how my car would look with infinite funds

Years after being used as a daily driver and being parked outside, the paint was truly hammered. It felt like sand paper when you ran your hands through it. It was cold out this weekend, but I felt it was time to finally strip whatever little protection was left on the paint and do a full exterior detail.

The car still photographs well though

Here's how bad the clay bar looked. The passenger side and trunk were particularly bad. I must have parked under a tree or something.

There's swirl marks and scratches all over the car, but nothing that won't buff out.

Paint clay bared and stripped. Ready for a cut, maybe this upcoming weekend.

Looks so good man. This reminds me how badly I need to clay and buff my E36.

Also, nice 4Runner.

Damn, that clay bar got worked! Solid work, man - claying a car is one of the worst time sucks ever, but that paint in looking WET now.

Love it.

Wow blast from the past on this thread.

Car is looking amazing! Mine needs a respray and detail badly, 5+ years of track days and outdoor parking have not been kind.

Finally got progress done on the E36. It took me most of the day, but the car has been polished and has a fresh coat of Menzerna Powerlock sealant. Will add another coat tomorrow, as well as polish the windows as they have quite a bit of water residue.

Roof looked a bit rough and had some etching that I couldn't get off. It'll do for now though:

Can't wait to have this car back on the road! Hope is everyone is having a great holiday.
