Don't do it Bob, not another penny. Price is low enough.

LOL. These are my original rims. I bought them brand new and tradered them to a guy in NY for am engine. He sold them to Always 4sale. Why doesn't anyone want to keep these? They are great rims. Guess I was too late to pick these back up.

It looks like these RE30's have the following owner chain:
1. 02M3Project
2. guy in NY
3. ALwAyS4SaLe
4. TartanM3
5. bmwbob
6. normcaldwell

I took the wheels to a local wheel repair/finish shop that has an excellent reputation (and after working with the owner-operator, I can see why and agree). He checked the wheels for roundness and finish condition. Excellent on both counts. I could also see that they were in great shape, but wanted an additional machine calibration on the shape.
Happy camper here . . . . .

i tried the square setup many years ago with oz superleggeras. they were the matt grey. 18x9 et40. i just didnt like having the exact rim on the front and back. i thought maybe with the volks being pure light and awesomeness that i would like them, but i just didnt like the look!

weird i am sure.

i came so close to getting 4 18x9 re30's to put on my fronts and keep the 9.5 for the rears and then sell the extra set. i mean like so close. if dr jekyll hadnt had the te37's at least the rears would still be on my car as i loved the look of them and the color!

Good, thank you.

Truth is, I was pondering having them refinished in silver. You remember I was a bit on the fence in the first place 'cause I'm a silver fan.
Well, the wheel repair and refinish expert took one look at them and told me what I already knew; that the finish on these things was in great shape.
I decided to stay on the gunmetal side of the fence, and I'm glad I did.

I already have a couple other sets in silver, so the variety will be good.

lol..you did the exact same thing i did. i considered having them touched up because the wheel guy had success in matching the volks titanium gunmetal color in the past, but he was like, "if you cant tell from 6 feet away then why go through the trouble"

he is an honest guy and hates taking peoples money for hardly any change.

i am glad i found him.
