Default Outer ring of tail light LEDS....now working???

So here's a thinker for you all...

I bought my 03.5 a couple of months ago, and as expected, the outer ring of LEDs on the taillights (the ones for 'adaptive braking') did not light up when the tail lights were on, or under normal braking.

However, I noticed today that they are now on when the tail lights are on!

Since I've owned the car it has only been to the dealer once for the emissions reflash.

Am I getting this wrong? Do they normally light up as tail lights, just not extra bright under braking?

So....confused...:nixweiss:

They should light up but be dim. Under hard braking they will light up bright like the rest of the lights.

Yup, that's the adaptive braking. More lights = harder braking.

when you turn the light on, the outer ring will light up as well. when you brake hard, it'll be even brighter.

The car was just sat there, idling with the headlights turned on...and the outer ring of LEDs were lit up...

they always light up with the headlights, they're just adaptive for the braking
