Both! Have a second CSL tune from TTFS on a second DME, I haven't tested that yet. Unfortunately NY inspection cant read the CSL tune.

Rob, are you able to confirm if that ECU that can't talk to NY inspection did or didn't get the emissions recall software update?

There's a theory that that could be people's problems, but maybe you could dismiss that?

from what I read the stock software couldn't read SOME state computers so they did the recall on the stock software.CSL never got the recall, but some guys on the CSL tune pass their state emissions no problem.so it really depends on what your state uses for its equipment.

All I can confirm is that NY cannot read the stock CSL software. I just decided it wasn't worth all the hassle and went with an Alpha N tune. Swapping DMEs, Clearing codes, running a full drive cycle etc etc etc....

Yeah good experience and it's a short drive from NYC. TTFS is awesome but DC is a bit of a hike.

I have no regrets switching to Alpha N.

Made it to the track!!! Got in 3 sessions at Lime Rock and confirmed this motor is a BEAST. Great afternoon, sunny in the 80's with a pretty good run group.

First session just took it easy and kept the revs below 8k. Everything looked good. Temps in spec and no oil pushing thru the PVC. 2nd and 3rd session picked it up and took it to the rev limiter a couple times. Also the car handled pretty good. I set the sway bars pretty soft and will definitely stiffen them up.

Biggest is the torque is right where you need it on the track. For example No Name straight at Lime Rock, pulls hard around 5k to red line. Same for 4th going onto the main straight. Looking forward to getting to Watkins Glen for a longer straight.

Second is no blow by problems like the last build. Not a single drop of oil in the catch can. I'm convinced the cylinder tolerances weren't right on the last motor. Lesson learned, stick with a machine shop experienced in the S54.
