I kid. The weather makes it very difficult to get work done on the car. We're getting another wild swing this week that will take us into the 60's then back down past freezing :\

love my AKG, i like the taller lever, as it sits closer to steering wheel for quicker downshift blips, short and precise..

I've been debating a shifter like this, while CAE seems to be the pioneer on this it comes with a fairly steep price tag. I think the RTD is a good alternative option. I have no experience with either but reading this thread there's people going either way. I look at this like I do interior, CAE is for the baller who can pay for it, just like OEM CSL, but if you're on a budget and looking for a decent alternative, RTD is a good bet, like running Recaro seats; I think it's all relative to how much money you want to spend.

So the rumors of a rtd group sale late last year never came to fruition.

Anyone know if there might be one coming up? I'm really tempted to grab one but at regular price I'm not sure I need one (since I'm somewhat somewhat trying to sell the car lol... Should stop spending on a car I'm looking to sell haha)

No regrets on the rtd here. One of the best mods I have done.

Ask him if heíll give you a discount. Tell him you were waiting for the Christmas group buy. They also released a new carbon fiber shifter today, if thatís something youíre interested in.

+1 - Loving the RTD shifter (Race Height). Awesome mod.

I do have notchiness/grinding into 2nd gear no matter the rpm. Did not have that before. However, downshift into 2nd I have no grinding.
